Rust, enemy of every car and car enthusiast. Here in VT it is especially dreaded with the wicked winters and mush of ice, salt, water, and sand on the roads eating at our cars each and every season. Luckily the old Rambler has not been eaten by rust too much, although there are areas of infection. One notable spot though;
The white roof had a half dollar size amount of rust that stood out like a nasty wound. It had been bothering me for too long so I broke out my new friend Mr.Dremel and took care of business. After some sanding, priming and spot painting the wound was covered.
Now I know this is not the best practice for patching a bit of rust. The point was to stop the spread of the rust and get some dignity back to the white roof. Eventually the whole thing could use a solid paint job but alas for now, this will have to suffice.
